The nearest one to here (Stockport) is at a time when I definitely won't be able to turn up :-(

2hr 44mins for me to get to Stockport (my nearest event), and 7hrs 17minutes to get back with the quickest turn around. :|

Probably about ten minutes from work, only I've got other commitments that day. Anyway, I've no use for Select on a RiscPC, and anyone else gets my money at Wakefield.

Have already booked the afternoon off work so I can make the Birmingham one.

SimonC may have picked up the wrong idea. The last I heard there were a dozen or more RISC OS companies already signed up - and I'm sure they're not all just selling Select!

No, but I thought it's main aim was part of RISC OS's drive to get as many people onto Select as possible.

As far as I know, the purpose of these events is to provide a managable alternative to the former Birmingham show, which isn't taking place this year. I know that Paul used to do the Acorn Roadshows, and I think he was aiming for something similar, but practical as things are today. I'm sure he'd like everyone to grab a Select subscription, but having shows is good for the whole market, and not just RISC OS Ltd. The alternative is no show for anywhere north of London until next May (Wakefield) - which would you prefer?
