Stuart Tyrrell, of
Development fame, writes to let us know that
DigiFlash 2 is now available.
Produced in conjunction with Surftec, DigiFlash2 is a media card reader that allows you to access data on CompactFlash type 1 and SmartMedia cards. This means you can read and write to those small cards widely used in digital cameras, MP3 players and so on. For instance, the Olympus camera range sold by Photodesk Ltd. use SmartMedia, and the cards are now around 20 quid ex-VAT for 128MB storage.
The card reader is USB, which means you need a Simtec USB card; a Castle/Iyonix version was being worked on, but has not yet come to fruition.
The card reader, which can also be used on PCs, costs £59.95 fully inc. The Simtec USB card is available for £89.00, similarly inclusive. Contact Stu or Surftec for purchasing or further details.

We need more boogaloo articles! Good to see Rich leading from the front here. Perhaps we could rename TIB to be "The Icon Bar - Your one stop station for RISCOS Boogaloo", although we need to be wary of Drobe trying to steal our thunder and launching Drobe II: Electric Boogaloo... |
