Just came across pocketmatrix.com who have ported quake to arm-based pocket pcs.
The sites insanely slow, so I can't find much about it, but someone should get a hold of the source code and see if it can be made to work under RISC OS. Perhaps it would be better than the TBA thing.

Just a thought...

Hi...


It runs at around 4fps on an overclocked (at 221Mhz) Ipaq, which is pretty unimpressive speed-wise. The source isn't available anyway.

The site's slow as it just appeared on /., so it's probably been slashdotted...

I doubt very much a port of this version would give us anything over the versions we already have, although if someone wants to prove me wrong a port it anyway... wink
